Welcome to TaskTribe! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TaskTribe platform ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). By using TaskTribe, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About TaskTribe
TaskTribe is a peer-to-peer platform that connects individuals seeking services ("Customers") with independent service providers ("Providers"). We act solely as a neutral intermediary. TaskTribe does not provide services itself, nor do we verify or endorse Providers. TaskTribe is not the employer of any Provider and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any services provided.

To use the Platform, you must create an account and provide accurate and complete information, including:

- Full name
- Verified email address
- Phone number
- Profile photo
- Postal code or approximate location
- Service categories (for Providers)
- Portfolio, certifications, and Business ID (optional)
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Only one account per person is allowed.
2a. Eligibility
You must be at least 15 years old to register and use this Platform.
Please note that certain services or tasks may legally require the Provider to be 18 years or older or to hold specific qualifications or licenses under Finnish law. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you meet all legal requirements for offering or performing any specific service.

3. Platform Usage
- Customers can post service requests ("Tasks")
- Providers may respond with offers
- Customers may review Provider profiles and select a Provider
- Once matched, Providers and Customers may communicate further
- TaskTribe does not participate in the negotiation, agreement, or execution of services
4. Payments and Fees
- Payments are made directly from Customers to Providers
- TaskTribe charges a service fee of 10% of the task amount, payable by the Provider
- Platform use is free for Customers
- We reserve the right to waive or modify this fee during promotional periods
- You acknowledge and agree that any attempt to circumvent the service fee constitutes a material breach of these Terms
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Create multiple accounts for the same person
- Avoid paying TaskTribe's commission
- Share personal contact details before being officially matched
- Complete or arrange transactions outside of TaskTribe
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post illegal, offensive, or discriminatory content
- Cancel tasks repeatedly without valid reason
Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
6. Reviews and Ratings
Customers and Providers may leave public ratings and reviews. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove any review that violates our policies or is proven to be false. Repeated abuse of the review system may result in account sanctions.
7. Tax and Legal Compliance
You are solely responsible for declaring income and paying any applicable taxes or social contributions arising from services you provide or receive through TaskTribe. In cases of non-performance or unsatisfactory service, the Provider is solely liable.
8. Intellectual Property
Users retain ownership of content they upload to the Platform (e.g., photos, descriptions). By posting such content, you grant TaskTribe a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and share this content for purposes such as marketing, including social media posts.
9. Data Protection
Processing of your personal data is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Finnish Data Protection Act (Tietosuojalaki).

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. In the event of a dispute, we aim to resolve matters amicably. If needed, disputes may be brought before the competent courts of Finland, such as the District Court of Helsinki.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance. Please review these Terms periodically.
